Don't just think it, show it!!
Thanksgiving is over, and Christmas is coming up which means that a lot of us out there are shopping for our clients. Now, there are a lot of ways to tell your clients you appreciate them and a lot of budget ranges depending on amount of clients, your budget, just sheer location of your clients. A lot of different things go into actually showing your client or telling your client that you care about them so in this video, I’m going to show you some free options, some cheap options, and maybe some options that might be a little more pricey depending on your budget.
So a few free things you can do and what I used to do when I first started off is to actually show up to your client, shake their hand and tell them you appreciate them and appreciate their business over the past year. If your client is too far away or your so strapped for money and so strapped for time, do not send an email, do not text them. Pick up the phone and call them. Again, say thank you for your business, really appreciate it and that kind of thing. That goes a long, long way.
So, let’s talk about some cheaper options you can do to really tell your clients that you appreciate them and the first thing and the thing that I still do now is send Christmas cards. You can send you know your normal boiler plate cards you buy from CVS but I do not recommend doing that if you have a little bit of money to spend do customized cards.
I think it really helps set you apart from other people who might just be buying your typical you know, CVS card. So, get these if you have a little bit of clients or you have a little bit of money to spend, definitely go with this option between postage, envelopes, and this. It’s not going to run you too much money. Now a lot of us also send fruit baskets or food baskets or cookies to our clients and you can definitely do that too. I have done that in the past. I actually use a local bakery here in Plymouth that I send some stuff to my clients. I think you know, if you can incorporate locals into this type of thing its going to be beneficial for all of us so, if you have a little bit of money as well, send them some cookies, or a few brownies, or whatever you want to send that they like for food, definitely do that as well.
(A little more Pricey)
You can also take your clients out to lunch or dinner. And again, this depends on your budget you can spend two hundred dollars per person or twenty bucks depending on your budget. It’s really just the act that’s going to count and really be special to your clients. Any time you can psychically show up, have interaction with them face to face, not over the phone, or email, or text, anything like that, face to face is going to be a lot more beneficial and mean a lot more to your clients then if you were just behind the scenes doing something so if your in the area say hey, you know Joe I’m in the area, I’d love to take you out next week for dinner just to show you that I appreciate you over this year. You know whatever, take him out for dinner, nice steak dinner or go to 99, whatever you want to do. Take your clients out for dinner or lunch from time to time.
There you go, hopefully one of those things rang true with you whether you have no budget, you want to give them a phone call, or you got a bunch of money and you can spend you know, a hundred and fifty dollars on a steak dinner, whatever your budget is do something at the end of this year to really show your clients you care, and that way come 2020, their going to be a solid client for you and their going to think about you.
It’s all about top of mind awareness so do that for you clients, show them you care, and that’s what I got for you guys so any questions at all, leave them below and I will catch you guys on the next one!!
